mission

The American Friends of the Reut Institute will consider grants to organizations and programs that work to strengthen the vision of the state of Israel as a Jewish, democratic and prosperous state, including programs that develop educational materials, conduct research, and study and disseminate information regarding the future of the state of Israel in a nonpartisan and advocacy-free manner.

The Reut Institute is the primary beneficiary of AFRI.

In 2006, a grant was awarded to The Reut Institute, a Tel-Aviv based policy-group working to enhance the capacity of Israeli leaders and decision-makers to be strategic in the face of permanent adversity and exceptional turbulence. Reut uses cutting edge methodologies to provide real-time decision-support that highlights long term implications of on-going decisions and actions. Currently focused on national security and particularly on the challenge of dealing with the Palestinians, reut is about to expand its activities to socioeconomic development. Reut is a Zionist non-partisan, non-advocacy and not-for-profit organization that serves the Israeli leaders and decision-makerson a pro-bono basis and is supported by donors.
